How to use this booklet. Read the ayat together first. Then let your child pick 3 or 4 pages for one sitting. Every page has two levels: Level 1 for younger children (about 5–7), Level 2 for older ones (about 8–10). Children at both levels can work at the same table.

  • Investigate: find the surah in a real mushaf, match ayat to meanings, and play with its words, letters and numbers.

About the text

The Arabic is the Uthmani text from the IqraSaurus Quran data, copied by program and never typed. The English meaning of each ayah is from the translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like);

When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned -

When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up;

وَإِذَا ٱلْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
When the oceans boil over with a swell;
وَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ ٱنكَدَرَتْ
When the stars fall, losing their lustre;
