لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ

On a Mighty Day,

كَلَّآ إِنَّ كِتَٰبَ ٱلْفُجَّارِ لَفِى سِجِّينٍۢ

Nay! Surely the record of the wicked is (preserved) in Sijjin.

ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا ٱكْتَالُوا۟ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ

Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, exact full measure,

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ

Do they not think that they will be called to account?-

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ

But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا سِجِّينٌۭ

And what will explain to thee what Sijjin is?

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلنَّاسُ لِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

A Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the Worlds?

وَيْلٌۭ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ

Woe to those that deal in fraud,-

كَلَّآNay!إِنَّIndeedكِتَٰبَ(the) recordٱلْفُجَّارِ(of) the wickedلَفِى(is) surely inسِجِّينٍۢSijjin﴿٧﴾

وَمَآAnd what?أَدْرَىٰكَcan make you knowمَاwhat?سِجِّينٌۭ(is) Sijjin﴿٨﴾
