For parents and teachers
How the booklets work
Quran Investigator is the at-home side of Quran Investigators, the IqraSaurus programme where children explore one surah at a time. Each booklet follows the 4-I journey: Inspire, Investigate, Integrate and Impart. It is a light, playful first meeting with a surah, not a tafsir.
Using a booklet
- Read the ayat together first. Then let your child pick 3 or 4 pages for one sitting.
- Every page has two levels: Level 1 for younger children (about 5–7), Level 2 for older ones (about 8–10). Children at both levels can work at the same table.
- On a tablet, children write on the page with the pencil, tap to choose answers and press “Check my answers”. On paper, print in black and white on A4; the answer page is at the end.
- Long surahs are split into the same parts as Mini Hafiz, so one booklet covers one part.
- “New puzzles” gives a fresh mix of the word search, maze and order puzzles, so the same surah can be done again.

Where the content comes from
- The Arabic is the Uthmani text from the IqraSaurus Quran data, copied by program. It is never typed by hand.
- The meaning of each ayah is from the English translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali.
- The meanings under single words are word-by-word helps from the quranexcel.com workbook. They help children follow along; they are not a translation.
- Sentences, questions and plans come from the Tadabbur 4-I guides. Only guides the asatizah have checked are published, so only checked lines appear here.
- Pictures are the IqraSaurus line art: a colouring scene and a stamp for each Juz 'Amma surah. No picture shows a person.
- If anything is unclear, please ask your ustaz or ustazah.
